New Details Revealed for Jamie Campbell Bower’s Character in The Rings of Power Season 3
On the most recent episode of the Fellowship of Fans Second Age Show, new details about Sauron and Jamie Campbell Bower’s (unreleased) character were revealed. The Rings of Power Season 3 is slated to release on November 11, 2026, and earlier this week Prime Video dropped a first-look image of Sauron, played by Charlie Vickers. These new scoops offer further insight into what we can expect from Sauron in Season 3.
Sauron and Jamie Campbell Bower’s Elf Character face-off
What also stands out is the description of these scenes as being “quite physical.” This could imply, intense confrontations, JCB’s character maybe holding a secret, manipulation turning violent, imprisonment, or even large-scale action moments tied to Mordor and Sauron’s growing power. Given Sauron’s position at this point in the story, it would make sense for Season 3 to lean more heavily into his dominance and brutality.
The mention that these scenes are supposedly “some of the best moments of Season 3” is also notable. Charlie Vickers was widely praised in Season 2, particularly once Sauron fully emerged in his form of Annatar, so it seems the series may be doubling down on character-driven conflict and more intense scenes moving forward.

Introduction to Barad-dûr
Excl: We will finally be introduced to Barad-dûr in Mordor in The Rings of Power Season 3. Inside Barad-dûr is where Sauron will begin his journey to craft the One Ring.
Mordor has become a major location in The Rings of Power and the introduction of Sauron’s fortress where he will be planning, scheming and trying to forge the One Rings is exciting. Visually, Barad-dûr also has the potential to become one of the most impressive locations the show has attempted to portray.
Sauron’s attempt to forge the One Ring will most likely be a pivotal factor in the plot and build up throughout the season so having an established stronghold is important.
